We LOVE the people of Wallowa County & after 28 years of living here have joined effort to create a place as beautiful as the scenery we live in.  Owner, Nancy Young Lincoln is an amazing visionary and fused glass artist, not to mention chef, gardener, wife, mother & Grandma!  She has incorporated local craftsman into her final Calderas’ creation.  Steve Arment has his hand carved signature all over as well as master blacksmith Chuck Fraser.  You really must come see it with your own eyes.
Fused Glass artwork, a hand carved bar, forged iron staircase, eclectic décor & excellent food are all hallmarks of Calderas’.  We opened on December 5th 2006 after more than two years of constructing.  We have become known for our great evening dining & also offer homemade pastries, panini sandwiches, espresso, wine, beer & delectable desserts throughout the day.
Nancy & Carl Lincoln bought the property in 2002.  It had a small shack of a house on it.  Originally we planned to renovate and open a small coffee & glass art shop but while tearing into the house we TORE down the house!  After two years of thinking and rethinking the construction started.  Using the best contractors & artists, no corner was cut.  Two years inthe making & yet not quite finished, we opened on Dec. 5th 2006.  Today we are still improving.  A true masterpiece in the making; appropriate for ever changing lives.  As we make adjustments & come up with new ideas we all fall in love with the entire creation even more.  As we say “Pure temptation, from the first smooth sip to the last decadent bite!”
Even though we have found our niche in fine dining it is not the business, family is our business.  Our hope is that you will feel at home & at ease when you visit.  We as a family run the restaurant & Little Sheep Farms; ourgarden in Imnaha where we grow produce served at Calderas.  It is an honor to be a part of something so special & heartfelt.  Just as no corner was cut constructing the building, no corner is cut preparing the cuisine.  Using fresh ingredients we make our own pesto, salad dressings, dessert sauces, desserts, pastries . . . well you get the picture.  Because we grow our own produce our salads are fresh & fantastic.  There is nothing better than our Imnaha tomato & Caldera pesto Bruschetta! Mmm mm!
No need for fancy dress, but you can if you want to.  Calderas is a place to just come relax & enjoy the finer things in life; like being waited on!  Local Pianist Hanna Lund plays every Friday night.  We celebrate Summer Solstice with our ANNUAL SOLSTICE FESTIVAL & we love to give you an opportunity to go out for the holidays during the cold season.  Check our Calendar of Events for more info.
